Tomorrow, in San Diego, kith and kin will lay to rest the mortal coil of Captain Carroll LeFon, United States Navy, a fighter pilot's fighter pilot, a warrior poet, and a friend of God and Man. At 1300 PST, a flight of Hornets will announce to the world that a great man has "slipped the surly bonds of Earth, put out his hand and touched the face of God."
At that time, locally, I shall hoist a pint and a prayer for his wife and children. I invite any and all to take a moment to reflect upon those leaders, mentors, and/or True Friends who have "stepped into the clearing at the end of the trail", wherever you my be.
