Preserving a piece of US Maritime History - invaluable

The USS Olympia is a cruiser that fought in the Spanish American War in 1898 and has been preserved in Philadelphia. She's a one of a kind ship, a national historic monument, and in danger. She needs approximately $10-15 million in repairs to keep her a viable museum for years to come. If you have the resources, or connections to those resources, please consider helping. Support for Japan Hasn't Let Up.....

A Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force S-70B Sea Hawk helicopter lands abaord the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). (great partnership!)
Barge YOGN-115, carrying 1.04 million litres (275,000 gallons) of fresh water, departs Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) to support cooling efforts at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. CFAY port operations cleaned and filled two barges, totaling nearly 1.89 million litres (500,000 gallons) of fresh water. (U.S. Navy photo)
These ships are off the coast of Japan - it appears the operation to provide relief has not slowed down
